Isuzu’s first electric pickup is here and it’s not just a concept! ⚡

The D-Max EV retains the ladder-frame chassis and rugged DNA of the diesel original but swaps in a dual-motor setup, permanent AWD, and a 66.9kWh battery underneath.

While the WLTP range is a modest 262km, the EV doesn’t compromise on off-road credibility, offering 210mm of ground clearance, a 600mm water wading depth, and a bespoke rear suspension for better handling.

Recently showcased in the UK and yet to go on sale, the D-Max EV is available only in double-cab form for now, a clear signal that even the most utilitarian segments are gearing up to go electric.

Delhi’s forest department is going electric. ⚡ 🌳

In a significant step towards sustainable governance, the Delhi government has announced that all forest department vehicles will be replaced with electric ones.

This decision (driven by the Delhi Environment Minister and supported by the Commission for Air Quality Management) is part of the larger plan to curb vehicular emissions and transition the capital’s public fleet to clean mobility.

This move aligns with Delhi’s ambitious EV Policy 2.0, which aims for 95% of new vehicle registrations to be electric by 2027.

From electrifying public buses and government fleets to building robust charging infrastructure and offering purchase incentives, the capital is walking the talk on clean transportation.

A cleaner, quieter, and greener Delhi isn't just a vision anymore. It's already in motion.

Delhi’s EV Future: Ban on Petrol Two-Wheelers? 🛵⚡

The Delhi government is proposing a bold move under EV Policy 2.0: the ban on new petrol two-wheeler registrations from August 2026. Additionally, older three-wheelers will be required to transition to electric or undergo retrofitting as part of the city’s push for cleaner mobility.

If implemented, this could drastically reshape the city’s mobility landscape, accelerating the shift toward electric alternatives.

The policy also outlines plans to expand EV charging infrastructure, ensuring a charging point every 5 km across Delhi, and reserve 20% of parking spaces for EVs to support the transition.

This proposal follows other significant EV-focused measures, such as:

🔹 Mandatory EVs for third private cars, requiring households to go electric for their third vehicle.

🔹 EV price parity with petrol vehicles, aiming to make electric cars as affordable as their ICE counterparts.

With these sweeping changes in the pipeline, Delhi is setting the stage for an all-electric future. What do you think about this shift? Let us know in the comments! 👇⚡

EV Prices to Match Petrol Vehicles? 🤔⚡

Speaking at the 32nd Convergence India and 10th Smart Cities India Expo on Wednesday, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari made a strong statement: Electric vehicle prices in India will match petrol vehicles within the next six months. 🚗⚡

This could be a game-changer for EV adoption! With battery technology improving and domestic production scaling up, the cost gap is closing faster than ever. And let’s not forget, EVs already have significantly lower running costs (as low as ₹1/km vs. ₹5-7/km for petrol).

If pricing parity truly happens, what do you think will be the biggest impact? More consumer adoption? A shift in mindset? Let’s discuss! 👇

Every 3rd Private Car in Delhi to Be an EV? 🚗⚡

The Delhi government has proposed a new EV 2.0 policy that could reshape private vehicle ownership in the capital. Under this draft policy, any household purchasing a third four-wheeler will be required to opt for an electric vehicle.

The policy also aims to:

✅ Ban new registrations of non-electric three-wheelers from August

✅ Ensure 100% electrification of state civic agency fleets by 2027

✅ Push EV adoption to 95% of new vehicle registrations by 2027

If approved, these rules will come into effect from April 1, 2025.

What do you think about this proposal? Will it accelerate EV adoption? Share your thoughts in the comments! 👇⚡
