I am writing to formally lodge a strong complaint regarding the wrongful challan issued to me on [02/02/2025] by a police officer near Mehsana By-pass. The officer in question demanded a bribe of ₹500 from me, which I firmly refused. After our heated argument, he retaliated by issuing a challan with completely false charges.
The officer claimed that I was using my phone, not wearing a seat belt, and driving recklessly. However, these accusations are baseless and absolutely false. The area near Mehsana By-pass is known for heavy traffic, and it is impossible to drive recklessly in such conditions. The issue of PUC (Pollution Under Control) should have been the reason for the challan, but the officer deliberately fabricated other charges just because of the disagreement.
I will NOT pay for this unjust challan. The charges are entirely false, and I will only address the PUC matter if it is the correct reason for the stop. If I have to go to court to settle this, I will not hesitate to take legal action. I was with my entire family during this incident, and I expect proper action to be taken against the officer who abused his power in this situation.
This matter needs to be rectified immediately. I demand a thorough review and cancellation of the wrongful challan. If not, I will proceed with further legal steps.
