Due to heavy snow, ice, and dangerous conditions, the Sally Gap (R759) and Old Military Road to Glencree are currently impassable.

Emergency services are advising against all non-essential travel in the Wicklow Mountains.

Please remember that attempting to travel in these conditions risks the safety of both you and your passengers, as well as the safety of our rescue teams.

These roads will reopen when it is safe to do so.

Wicklow Gardaí continue to take a proactive approach to keeping our communities safe.
Year-to-date figures show strong reductions across several key crime categories, including theft from MPVs, theft from the person, public order offences, criminal damage, and drunkenness offences.

This comes alongside sustained high-visibility policing, with 2,340 checkpoints and 1,678 beat patrols carried out so far this year.

Thank you to the community for your ongoing support as we work together to keep Wicklow safe.
