MECHANIC/TECHNICIAN REQUIRED
P&J Autoworks Ltd have a job opportunity for an experienced mechanic/technician, that is looking to work on cars, jeeps and light commercial vehicles.

Role Requirements:
•Applicant should be able to work on their own initiative
•Minimum 2 years experience in all mechanical repairs on vehicles, including: General servicing, NCT/ DOE pre test checks,Timing belt replacement, clutch replacement, diagnostics, wiring repairs, steering/suspension component repair and engine replacement.
•Welding experience would be beneficial but not essential
•Own Tools to be used
•Full Irish driving licence required.
•Fluent in English
•Working days are Monday to Friday

Last week we completed chassis and tub repairs to a Toyota Hilux. This included repairs to cracks and rust in the chassis rails, replacement of the spare wheel and diesel tank cross members and replacement/repairs to tub mounting brackets.

At PJ Autoworks we recommend you change your vehicles timing belt, in line with the manufacturers specifications. Normally every 100k km or 5 years, but this varies between cars. Here’s some examples of timing belts on the verge of failure. If a timing belt fails it can cause thousands of euros worth of damage. Feel free to contact us, if you need your timing belt replaced or to check if it is due.
