Proud Of Our Community sprit
Daffodil Day 2026

It was a wonderful experience to be invited to the Mount Errigal Hotel Letterkenny, recently to meet the people of Donegal who
make daffodil day happen each year.

The amount raised overall for the county was an amazing *€77,090.62*

The total collected in Donegal Town and Killybegs was a fantastic €9,106.

The money raised last year, funded the following -

• 217 nights of night nursing _(Allowing cancer patients to be comfortable, at home, in their final nights)_

• 117 free lifts supporting 90 patients.

• 86 free counselling sessions.

• 1104 supportive conversations via the daffodil day centre.

• Children’s fund involving 179 families.

• Family support camps.

And so much more…

This is all possible with thanks to the brilliant volunteers who give up their time year on year, and the wonderful people on our community that support such an amazing and important cause.

When applying for your driving test, don’t forget - check does the date suit your instructor, to check if they are available, if their car is available and suits!
