This is a post that no business owner ever wants to write !

Unfortunately It is with great sadness that we announce that Centrepoint Autos have closed our doors 😔. It has been an emotional and difficult decision to call time on what has been a long and happy chapter in our lives. I confess that it was not an easy decision but I could no longer let the role keep affecting my health anymore, in particular running a business with heart failure is undesirable but more importantly risking my opportunity of seeing my boys growing up. These are the most valuable things in life and should be treated as the priority.

We have been trading for over thirteen years, and we like many other businesses have faced significant challenges throughout the years but we adapted and diversified ourselves. Unfortunately we now find ourselves in a position where the constant rising costs of both parts and labour and the general rising costs of overheads has had a big impact on our business and has no longer made it viable. Also an expiring lease, notable workshop customers who refuse to pay bills probably affected by the current cost of living crisis, and lagging sales influenced by rising inflation has led us to cease operations.

Covid 19 brought about many problems for most businesses and ours was no exception as having a business is tough and getting tougher and we are now calling on the government to put more supports in place for SME’s before small independent enterprises are all wiped out completely. Please continue to support local businesses in your area, they may need it more than you think.

I would like to sincerely thank our amazing staff who have always made coming to work so enjoyable and have all been an unbelievable support over the last few weeks especially. Your loyalty will not be forgotten. As in every walk of life there has been 1 or 2 black sheep along the way but the majority of staff always had the business progression and customers best interest at heart. We can certainly say we have made friends for life 🥹

Centrepoint Autos was not only my business, but it was my life and a place where we all made a lot of amazing friends 🥰 I want to thank everyone who supported me through the years. The friendships that were created has been the ultimate reward.

It has been one hell of a ride but here’s to new chapters 🤞This may be farewell for now but who knows what the future holds 😉
