Just completed these shaft covers. They were wet molded before drying, trimming and hand stitching. Came out nice and tight with a 3D shape, just added a bit of glue underneath to stop slipping.

New stitching clams just arrived ready for 2nd April. They are adjustable height so suitable for use with a work bench and stool or at the kitchen table sitting on a chair. These are also available to buy. Why not come and learn how to use them?

Our next course will be 2nd April at Greenmantle Arts, just outside Killea, near Templemore.
Great for beginners we will make a belt to take home - while learning cutting, prep and hand stitching (two hands).
The cost is 70 euros for the day, which includes use of all tools and odds and ends, leather extra.
Start at 10, finish around 4, bring lunch to share.
Places are limited (just four) so advance booking only please.
See you there!

Hand stitch headcollar made to order. The leather is from a small tannery in Devon, tanned using sustainably harvested oak bark from Scotland. It makes a really strong long lasting leather for heavier jobs, Has a great natural colour too - varying natural shades of brown which ages so beautifully, unlike synthetic dyed finishes which tend to have a problem with either fading or the surface rubbing off. Worth every penny!
As time goes by I will be running bridlework courses, so come and make your own.

I'm still having trouble understanding why kids don't always want to get their hands dirty, but I'm working on it. Aoife made me the sign and got very happy and absolutely filthy!
