Westward celebrates 50 years as the Scania importer in the Republic of Ireland. To mark the occasion, we commissioned the 50th Anniversary Irish Edition in collaboration with Svempas and Scania. Each of these models is individually numbered and follows a similar styling theme to the Frost & Fire editions recently produced by Svempas. These units are being sold exclusively through the Scania dealer network in Ireland.
We are very proud of these units and feel they celebrate our 50th anniversary in a very special way. This is the very first unit produced and is No. 1 of 50. We have added a few styling touches of our own and, with a little help from Fintan at , we think we now have the finished article.
Within the images below, we have included a brief story of Westward's 50-year history and the Scania dealer network in Ireland, from its beginnings right up to the present day.
Thanks to everyone who has been part of the journey so far, and here's to another 50 years.

Last week at the IAA Transportation show in Germany, Scania unveiled the new Scania Dynamic Front, marking the next step in the evolution of the Scania cab.
More than just a styling update, the Dynamic Front has been developed to improve aerodynamics, helping deliver up to 2% lower energy consumption when combined with other new aerodynamic features. The redesigned front also complies with the latest European Increased Vehicle Dimension (IVD) regulations.
Alongside the Dynamic Front, Scania has also introduced digital rearview mirrors, aerodynamic A-pillars, updated headlamps, extended side skirts, aerodynamic door handles, improved interior comfort features, & new driver assistance systems.

We are delighted to be the main sponsor of this year's IRHA Conference.
Westward and the Scania dealer network have a wide range of trucks on display, including a Frost Edition and a Fire Edition. We are also premiering the first Irish Anniversary Edition truck, right here at the event. (Stay tuned for more news on that truck coming soon...)There is also a major display of vintage trucks celebrating Ireland's rich haulage heritage, while manufacturers and suppliers are showcasing the latest heavy goods vehicles, trailers and transport technology.

Congratulations to EI Travel Group on the recent delivery of two new Scania Irizar i6S coaches. The new additions comprise a Scania K410 triaxle and a Scania K360 4x2.
