This is well put

There are many many many reasons, why this light comes on, on a car van jeep etc.

Everytime it comes on, does not mean the fault is always the same.

And if your friend had that light come on, what fixed his/her car, does not mean it is going to fix your car 😂

An engine light on, and limp mode for example, can have numerous causes.

The symptoms might appear the same, but the causes are usually very much different ✅

And still, to this day, there is no "computer", or "machine", that tells you what's wrong with the vehicle.

I don't want to even think about the money I've invested in diagnostic tools down the years, 😂, or what my good friends have invested in there's also, but not one of these tools, tell you exactly what's wrong when a vehicle is having a mid life crisis.

None, Zero. Zilch. Nada

They are one of many diagnostic tools, that are used in a process and system, of diagnosing what's wrong.

They are like a map, they point you in a direction, give you a starting point, and it's up to you and your skills and other tools, to try and reach the correct destination, ie the cause of fault.

And let's not even get into intermittent engine lights or faults. 🤮.

ℹ️ VEHICLE RECALL : POTENTIAL FIRE RISK

Volkswagen Group Ireland Limited is carrying out a voluntary recall of certain ‘Audi A4, A5, A6, A7, Q5’ passenger vehicles. The vehicles were produced between May 2017 and March 2020.

A safety issue has been identified whereby ingress of moisture into the belt starter generator could generate short-circuits, leading to local overheating of the component. A subsequent vehicle fire cannot be ruled out. The belt starter generator is being replaced in the vehicles concerned.

There are approximately 1,767 vehicles affected on the Irish market.
