Renault 5 gt turbo in recently for suspected head gasket failure turns out problem was more deeper after some head scratching I discovered the block had two cracks at two different head studs holes so only option exchange the block so full rebuild was needed, also the water system was full of engine oil which is caused by a crack in the oil gallery that goes through the cylinder head which is surrounded by the water jacket so the cylinder head had to be changed too,
While the engine/box was out I refreshed the engine bay with some paint,
So engine fully rebuilt using existing pistons and liners
Polished crank,
Full engine gasket kit
New main bearings,
New bigend bearings,
New thrust washers,
Second hand block,
Second hand cylinder head,

Result another sweet engine💪

Yesterday afternoon at efi-parts.co.uk was over for remap as made few changes to my setup for track use new ED spec catcam and tubular exhaust manifold with external wastegate resulting in some hp gains running less boost on a hot day at 29’C so I’ve done something right🥵
Power 228
