Regular vehicle maintenance can help prevent larger, more expensive problems occurring with your car.

When your car starts to make unusual noises, judder, clunk or knock, seeking advice from an experienced local garage as soon as possible is a wise move.

Leaving vehicular problems unchecked can cause them to worsen, and can even cause damage to other components under the bonnet or in your car, leading to higher repair bills which are never welcome.

☀️🚗Fast And Professional Air Conditioning Services For All Your Vehicles.
A good AirCon serviced in time will help keep you cool on your summer days journeys and also will make sure your windscreen does not fog up in the winter months or when it’s raining.
Make sure you have it serviced regularly. Otherwise, it could break down, consume more fuel or lead to uncomfortable smells in the car.
Here at Speed Garage we specialise in quick and professional air conditioning servicing.
Make sure you have it disinfected once a year. You should also have the filter changed on an annual basis, have it thoroughly serviced once every two years. This will avoid high repair costs of the whole system and prevent it from breaking down completely, recharge your air conditioning system approximately every 20,000 km or every 2 years, replace the cabin filter at each reload of your air conditioning system, contact us for more information and tips. www.speedGarage.ie

🏍️ Motorcyclists have less protection in the event of a crash.

They – along with others – are more vulnerable on the roads.

Motorists: Look out for motorcyclists
⚠️ At junctions
⚠️ At intersections
⚠️ Joining a main road
⚠️ When changing lanes

🌨Of all the seasons, winter requires the most care and preparation if you're to stay safe and avoid a breakdown.
🚗Antifreeze - A continuous squealing noise as soon as the engine is started is a sign the water pump is frozen - it's the fan belt slipping on the pulley

🤓Vision - Keep the windscreen and other windows clear – if your vision is obscured through dirt, snow or even sticker-infested car windows you could face a hefty fine. Clear snow from the roof as well as from windows as this can fall onto the windscreen obscuring your view. It can be a hazard to other road users as well

💦Visibility - Make sure that all bulbs are working and that lenses are clean. When roads are really mucky you might need to clean lights after every journey.

🚙Tyres - We recommend at least 3mm of tread for winter motoring, and certainly no less than 2mm. Don't reduce tyre pressures to get more grip – it doesn't work, and reduces stability.

We are specialized in aligning the headlights to the legal required standards for your vehicle. Misaligned headlight beam can blind incoming traffic and can cause accidents.

Have your headlight beam alignment checked by a professional.
Headlight beam misalignment is one of the reasons why cars can fail their NCT test.

Lights aren't just for nighttime: turning on your lights during the day prevents collisions, which reduces death and injuries on the road.

The RSA's Daytime Running light campaign encourages road-users to use their dipped headlights during the daytime to improve visibility on the roads.

Using dipped headlights makes it easier to see oncoming vehicles in the distance and prevents daytime head-on and front-corner collisions.

Remember - lights on to save lives.
