!NEW WASTE TYRE REGULATIONS!
(Please read)
On September 14th 2017, Minister Denis Naughten signed the waste management(Tyres & Waste Tyres) Regulations 2017 which comes into force on Oct 1st 2017.As a consequence, Bernard Dorgan Tyres is legally obliged to apply a visible environmental charge (vEMC) to all tyre sales invoiced by us to each customer. This vEMC will be listed separately on all our invoices from Sunday Oct 1st 2017.
The new regulations have been put in place to Ensure that tyres are recycled in an environmentally appropriate manner, something we all have a legal and moral obligation to ensure. We have reservations about how effective this new environmental levy will be,however,we have no option but to apply the levy now that the new Tyre Regulations have been passed into law.
We have been told by Repak ELT LTD that a nationwide advertising campaign has been in place to inform the public but we have found the opposite when talking to you.!!
We will as always ensure you get the lowest possible price on the brands we supply to offset this change.
The cost of a tyre disposal is 2.80+ vat we are only collecting this on behalf of Repak ELT LTD the cost of the tyre stays the same and many sizes reduced for October.
Thank you for your continued custom from all at Bernard Dorgan Tyres
