🏁🏁Danny Gormley Memorial Knockalla Hillclimb Entries Close Tomorrow!!!🏁🏁

Entries close tomorrow Sept 2nd 2026 for the annual Danny Gormley Memorial Knockalla Hillclimb. This year's event is sponsored by Kelly Motorsports Ltd & has a strong entry received to date.

Counting rounds of the Donegal Commercial Vehicles Club Championship (Round 3-Sat & Round 4-Sun) & the MIJRS.ie - MI Junior Rally Series J1000 series also on Sunday.

Action will kick off each day with a practice run at 10:15 with the first timed run at approx 11:30 on the 1.3km course.

The 2026 Donegal Harvest Rally is due to take place on Saturday the 10th of October and is sponsored by the An Grianan Hotel in Burt.
The rally is a penultimate round of the Triton Showers National Rally Chanpionship, the final round of the Sligo Pallets Border Championship as well as rounds of the Donegal Club, MIJRS Championship, Stellantis, and Dacia Cups. So it is sure to be an action packed day. Entries open tomorrow morning the 28th of August so get your entries in early to be in with a chance to compete on 9 incredible stages.

Our Brian James t6 car transporter trailer was stolen from the back of our lorry at about 02.00 this morning (sunday) in the Shirley area of Birmingham by a black VW Toureg jeep.
Chassis no SJB230GBPLD039344. Trailer has distintive side marker lights added to it.

Danny Gormley Memorial Hill Climb Knockalla – 5th & 6th September 2026

Knockalla Hill will once again come alive with the roar of engines and the thrill of competition as the Danny Gormley Memorial Hill climb takes place on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th September

Now a well renowned and much-loved fixture on the motorsport calendar, the event honours the late Danny Gormley, whose passion for Knockalla Hill is celebrated every first weekend in September.

Event Details, Competitor regulations and entries are now available, with a strong entry list expected for the two-day motoring festival.

The Hill climb is a round 3 and 4 of the Donegal Commercial Vehicles Drivers Club Championship, and once again features the popular J1000 Club Championship category – and this year it will see the MIJRS J1000 Championship tacking the famous hill on the Sunday – giving the young competitors the opportunity to tackle one of the most famous stretches of road in world motorsport.

Action begins at approximately 10:00am each day.

The spectator bus will once again transport fans to the main viewing area above the famous Wilhare’s Bend.

Alongside the on-track action, visitors can enjoy:
• Food stalls and live music
• Family activities and a welcoming festival atmosphere
• Live commentary at the start line
• Award presentations for the fastest drivers and class winners
Along with some new additions this year which will be revealed in the coming weeks
