๐ NATIONAL CHAMPION! Anthony Holland Takes the Title! ๐
What a weekend, and what a 36-year journey to get here! Our owner and the heart of Kiltorcan Raceway, Anthony Holland, has achieved a lifelong dream by officially claiming the Motorsport Ireland National Championship (Senior 168)! ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ช
This victory was anything but easyโit was a pure test of grit, drama, and determination:
๐ฅ Tuesday: A big slide on a damp track bent the chassis out of shape and gave his ribs a severe beating.
๐ ๏ธ Friday: Frame declared unrepairableโcue a last-minute scramble to build up a backup kart from the Euro Cup.
โฑ๏ธ Saturday: Racing through severe rib pain to clock a blistering 53.12s in practice and put it on P1 in Quali.
โ๏ธ Sunday: Pure final-race drama! A failing pull-starter locked up the engine twice, but Anthony pushed through the pain to cross the line in P5โsnagging the title by a razor-thin 3-point margin!
At 42 years young, Anthony proved that grit, hard work, and relentless passion pay off.
Huge respect to Colm Munnelly for an incredible battle down to the wire, and massive shoutout to the entire Senior 168 class for keeping the racing fierce and the banter top-class all season.
