Sailun sets track record on Porsche 🔥🛞
On October 25, the SILVER ROCKET team with driver Naquib, on Sailun PT01 semislick tyres drove a Porsche 718 GT4 RS at Porsche GT track day event at Shanghai International Circuit.
A new record for this Porsche was set at the circuit by the team with a fastest lap time of 2:08.80! Naquib, the talented “smart performance driver” in a short span of three years transitioned from a simulator driver to his now racing career. This is not only his first driving the 718 GT4 RS, but also his first time at the Shanghai International Circuit.
Naquib commented, while a real race track is indeed challenging it suits his personality of seeking both limits and balance, which is what he sees as the allure of motorsport. He spoke highly of Sailun PT01's tyres: "The Sailun PT01 consistently delivered stable performance. Even after a number of intense laps, there was no significant decrease in grip which gave me the confidence to keep pushing the limits."
