BMW E30 M20 injector refurbishment at RMS ➡️

A little before-and-after photo — or, more precisely, a used set in the top row and a refurbished set below.

The odd one out on the far right of the top row is there for a reason! I received 12 injectors in total, meaning two sets. My job was to select six with closely matched fuel flow rates for the six-cylinder M20 engine.

During the initial test, one injector delivered too little fuel and also failed the leak test. I replaced it with another from the donor sets, then retested the six injectors selected for the car.

The “bare” injector reveals something else, too: ultrasonic cleaning strips the original paint off these old Bosch injectors, right down to the bare metal!

That little tip sticking out at the end of the “bare” injector is the end of the valve needle, also known as the pintle. The factory-fitted yellow plastic cap protects it — and, of course, the refurbished injectors received new pintle caps as well!

New Viton O-rings, new inlet filters and pintle caps, followed by a finishing coat of epoxy paint. Complete with its test report, the set is ready to go back into the engine. 😉

🥈 BMWRC 2026 – silver in Group 4 of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship!

We wrapped up this year’s season with Nagy Norbert in Buzet, Croatia. The BMWRC has become much faster compared with 2025, and we already have plenty of ideas to make it even faster for 2027. 😉

We’re delighted with the silver medal, and we feel the result is a fair reflection of how competitive the field was this year.

Thank you for cheering us on and for all the help we received throughout the season! Norbi and the BMWRC couldn’t have made it this far without you. 🙏

Take a seat next to Norbi Nagy in the RMS BMWRC for a hill climb run!
With this race car and on this very hill climb course, we achieved 3rd place at the German round of the FIA European Hill Climb Championship at the Glasbachrennen in June 2026.
