A few highlights from recent driverless testing with VulpesD. 🔥

Designed and built entirely by students, VulpesD is one of the race cars developed by FSB Racing Team. The project that brings together ambitious students who apply their knowledge, skills and passion to tackle real-world engineering challenges within the Formula Student community.

From the initial concept and design stages to manufacturing, validation and track testing, we independently develop and build Formula Student race cars, transforming theoretical knowledge into practical engineering solutions. Throughout the process, we rely on analysis, innovation, and data-driven decision-making to continuously improve our performance and compete against various teams from around the world.

But Formula Student is more than just a competition. It is a multidisciplinary learning environment where students develop both technical expertise and teamwork under real-world constraints.

Thanks to this week we had the chance to run driver selection in a slightly different way.

Combining carting and asphalt brought a lot of excitement among our candidates, and the fastest ones secured their spot in this year’s driver lineup.

After carting, the top performers got the chance to step into the Martes and put their skills to the test in our own race car.

Test days hit different. And although you can sometimes see the stress on our faces, those days still somehow turn into the most fun field trips for the team. 😅

What was supposed to be a 4-hour session usually turns into a full-day adventure. There’s a bit of everything along the way: excitement, fatigue, a few setbacks, and eventually that small moment when things start clicking again.

Somewhere in between, the very much adored Borat theme song is blasting, the team’s designated jokers pulling their never-ending stunts, and before you know it, the hours have flown by with some constructive outcomes along the way.

By the end of the day, the results might be messy, the team a bit tired, but it’s all part of the ride. 💪
