The Porsche 992 Sport Classic is a limited-edition, heritage-inspired flagship that combines 911 Turbo-level performance with a traditional manual, rear-wheel-drive layout, and distinctive 1970s design cues from the Carrera RS 2.7. With a global production run of only 1,250 units, its Heritage Design Program status, and driver-focused design, it is considered one of the most collectible modern 911 models.
The Sport Classic features a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged flat-six engine that produces up to 542 hp and 600 Nm of torque. The 992 Sport Classic blends heritage-inspired design with advanced engineering; notable features include a Carrera RS 2.7-inspired ducktail rear wing, double-bubble roof, Fuchs-style center-lock wheels, and period-correct badging and stripes, all built on a 992 Turbo widebody chassis without side intakes. Twin stripes extend across the hood, roof, and tail, referencing the automaker’s racing heritage. Each Sport Classic is also further identified by a serial-numbered badge on the dashboard. The chassis comes standard with carbon ceramic brakes, Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, rear-axle steering, Porsche Active Suspension Management, and a specially tuned exhaust. As a limited model in Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur’s Heritage Design series, this model will remain desirable for years to come.
