Discovering Ancient Aptera in Spring with Kalives Travel 👍

We always hire a car as we love to get out and explore where we are staying. When we visited Crete we hired a car with and took the boys to Ancient Aptera which was around 15 minutes from our hotel

We weren’t sure whether the boys would get bored but it was quite the opposite, they found the ancient ruins fascinating especially when we went down underground and saw the ruins of the old baths. It was funny listening to them quizzing each other on the way back about what they had learnt! Makes a change from constant arguing!!!

Where to go when Crete is your oyster? 🗺📍 Posted • Oggi abbiamo noleggiato l’auto,un pulmino più che auto😂 così da poter andare al centro di Chania,me l’aspettavo più caratteristica,o meglio mi aspettavo il tipico paesino greco con case bianche e azzurre sul mare…
In realtà Chania e’ una città sulla costa nord-occidentale di Creta,ed è davvero bellissima,la sua chicca è il porto veneziano del XIV secolo,ed è strapiena di vicoletti con negozi ,bar,ristorantini uno più carino dell’altro e i prezzi sono molto accessibili !
Altra cosa carina da vedere il mercato con pianta a croce in cui ci sono tanti negozietti di souvenir.

Grazie è stata una bella giornata✨

We totally love that carefree summer feeling of exploring Chania in the sun! 🚘🇬🇷 Posted • Ale mieliśmy dziś cudowną wycieczkę ! Zwiedziliśmy Chania Old Town, Plaka, Kalyves Village i piękne plaże po drodze 🥰 jutro jedziemy na różową plaże Elafonisi - wiele z Was pisało, żeby koniecznie odwiedzić to miejsce 🤩 chciałam jeszcze pojechać na Santorini ale z dziećmi zrezygnowaliśmy z tego pomysłu bo mamy dość sporo drogi tam 🙈
Auto wypożyczyliśmy w lokalnej firmie - czyściutkie autko z otwieranym dachem (dzieci miały mega radość 🤩), przyjazna obsługa oraz dwa bezpieczne foteliki dla dzieciaków w środku👌🏻 jeśli chcielibyście wypożyczyć samochód w tej firmie to z kodem crete490 dostaniecie rabacik 👌🏻
P.S. Tak tak, wiem, że mam spalone plecy 🙈🦞

Ad // Today we hired a car from and headed into the city of Chania. It was beautiful and I loved the contrast between the bright colours and architecture and the crumbling ruins from the war that have been left along the way. We walked along the wall to the Venetian Lighthouse and went on a glass bottom boat tour to visit a little island. Somehow we still made it back in time for a crepe (trying to convince Ed we need to buy a Crepe maker for when we have to go home). We are falling in love with Crete more and more

Kto z Was wybiera się w tym roku na Kretę? 🇬🇷🏝🌊 Zdjęcie jest zrobione w drodze z Elafonisi ❤️ Wyspa jest piękna, kryje w sobie wiele przeuroczych zakątków. Jest wyjątkowa. Warto wypożyczyć auto na kilka dni i przejechać się po wyspie. Chania, Rethymno, Balos, Elafonisi to jedne z tych miejsc, które mnie zauroczyły 🥰
