Purpose-built for rally. Engineered to last.

This custom stainless steel exhaust manifold was designed and fabricated in-house for a Toyota AE86 Corolla GT rally car running the legendary 4AGE 16v Twin Cam.

Unlike a street car, a rally car spends its life at high RPM, bouncing off rev limiters, enduring extreme vibration, heat cycles and constant punishment on every stage. Reliability isn’t an option—it’s a requirement.

Starting from a blank sheet, every runner was carefully designed to achieve the ideal balance between exhaust flow, packaging and durability. The manifold was then hand-fabricated from stainless steel and precision TIG welded to withstand the harsh conditions of competitive rallying.

The result is a manifold that not only complements the high-revving characteristics of the 16v Twin Cam but is also built to survive the abuse that comes with motorsport.

From the workshop to the special stages, every detail matters.

Another DL800 project completed ✅

This transmission came to us after being deemed beyond repair. Following a complete teardown, inspection and repair, it’s now ready to return to its owner.

As this gearbox leaves the workshop, the next is already waiting on the bench.

Not every transmission story starts with a performance upgrade.

This DL800 came to us after another workshop turned it away. “It can’t be fixed.” We proved otherwise.

Full teardown, repair and reassembly back to OEM specification. No performance parts. Just proper work, done right.

It’s back on the road running exactly as it should.

A reminder that regular maintenance on these transmissions goes a long way. Fluid changes and routine inspections can catch small issues before they become big ones. Prevention is always cheaper than repair.

Teardown — The Foundation of a Proven Build

Every rebuild starts here. Stripping it down to the bare essentials — because before you build power, you understand exactly what you’re working with.

This is our EA113 race engine, pulled from our drag car and heading into a full rebuild. And this particular unit carries something special under the hood !! A 1.9 TDI diesel block at its core.

Why? The diesel block sits 15mm taller, providing an improved stroke ratio and the crank case clearance needed for serious power. It’s also significantly more robust than the standard petrol block — built to take punishment from the factory. We took that foundation and built a race engine on top of it.

This isn’t experimenting. This is a developed, proven combination — refined through years of building, testing and competing.

One exhaust. Two personalities. 🔥

This full in-house stainless steel exhaust system was built from the downpipe back, combining daily drivability with unrestricted performance when needed.

At the center of the setup is our electronically controlled exhaust valve system:
Valve closed → gases flow through the Euro 5 catalyst and silencer for a refined street setup
 Valve open → complete bypass for maximum flow and raw sound

No vacuum lines. No external systems.
Everything is controlled through our in-house developed valve controller, allowing manual operation or fully automatic control based on RPM or boost pressure.

Every pipe, weld and fabrication detail was built in-house at PF Motorsport.
