TAHGL is the first TATA subsidiary in West Africa and is engaged in promoting the group’s interests in Ghana and other West African sub-region (falling under the economic community of ECOWAS). The principal business activities of TAHGL have been to date:
1. Promoting the TATA vehicles business in Ghana by facilitating the import and supply of TATA vehicles and spare parts from Tata Motors Ltd., I
ndia.
2. Promoting Information Technology Communication (ICT) business in Ghana for sister company, Tata Consultancy services (TCS) by participating in various tenders.
3. Promoting the pharmaceutical business in Ghana.
4. Promoting the interests of the other group companies in Ghana like Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Infotech Limited, Tata Steel and Tata Power.
5. Engaging in the marketing and supply of various chemicals, engineering and non-engineering products to the Mining and Engineering Sectors in Ghana.
6. Construction Equipment (ICE). TAHGL has its corporate office situated in Accra, No. 17 Dadeban Road, North Industrial area, Accra and its own state of the Art-Showroom and Service Centre also located in Kpone, Tema – Plot No. IND/A/71/15 Kokompe Car Park, Industrial area, Kpone – Tema. TAHGL has done over 5 million USD investment in Ghana in infrastructure to promote various TATA businesses. As at the last financial year 2011-2012 TAHGL had registered a turnover of 30 Million USD in various businesses. We have a staff strength of 132 which comprises of 92 local staff (permanent), 32 outsourced staff as well as 8 Expatriates.
