Here is a Ford Transit we did recently, the customer recently fitted a new EGR valve and intake manifold, and so wanted the head ports to be like new as well.
We removed the front end so we could easily access the ports and see clearly all the way in to ensure we get all that nasty carbon removed.💪🏼
Carbon build up restricts air flow and potentially restricts valve movement which reduces engine power & efficiency, increases fuel consumption and potentially causes check engine lights. Not only that, but large carbon chunks falling into the cylinder can cause detrimental damage.👎🏼
