From pumpkin picking to spooky evening walks, October is a great excuse to get out and explore the best of Yorkshire.

Whether you’re planning a day with the family or looking for something a little more terrifying, here are a few places worth putting in your sat-nav:

🎃Spilmans Farm, near Thirsk – Pick your perfect pumpkin, explore the 25-acre patch and enjoy tractor rides, fairground fun and plenty of Halloween entertainment.

🎃Whitby Abbey – Explore the atmospheric ruins after dark with a spooky light trail, Dracula storytelling, fancy dress and plenty of warming food and drink.

🎃Hallowscream at York Maze – Feeling brave? Five haunted attractions, more than 100 actors and plenty of scares. 16+ only, so maybe leave the little ones at home for this one.

🧀Yorkshire Dales Cheese Festival – Swap the scares for something a little more delicious with local producers, tastings, workshops and, of course, plenty of cheese.

Need a car for the adventure? Whether you’re heading across Yorkshire for the weekend or just need a little extra space for a family day out, Autohorn has a range of reliable vehicles available to hire.

So, where will your October road trip take you?

Practical. Premium. Packed with tech.

The Hyundai Kona combines sporty styling with everyday practicality. Compact enough for town driving yet spacious enough for family adventures, it’s an SUV that just hits different.

We raised an incredible £4,580 for children’s charity OSCAR's Paediatric Brain Tumour Charity 🧡🧡

Our team took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for this incredible York charity, and we’re so proud of what we achieved together.

A huge thank you to everyone who donated and sponsored our insane expedition!

But we didn’t just want to tell you how much we raised. We wanted to show you what that money actually means to families across York affected by childhood brain tumours.

Head over to our blog to discover exactly where the money is going, who it will support, and the difference it could make to local families.
