Tyre keeps going down?

There are a number of reasons your tyre may be losing pressure, including:

▶️A puncture
▶️A leaking valve
▶️Damage to the wheel or rim
▶️Changes in temperature
▶️A poor seal between the tyre and wheel

If you’re having to top your tyre pressure up regularly, it’s worth getting it checked rather than simply putting more air in.

Steering wheel shaking while you drive? 🫨

It could be a sign that your wheels are out of balance, particularly if the vibration gets stronger at certain speeds.

Other possible causes can include tyre damage, uneven tyre wear, wheel alignment issues or worn steering and suspension components.

If your steering wheel doesn’t feel as smooth as it should, it’s worth getting it checked rather than ignoring it.

Some recent figures shared by TyreSafe caught our attention.

During a joint inspection in Norfolk, 191 part-worn tyres were checked.

❌ 36% were found to be in a dangerous condition
❌ Some had exposed cords, structural damage and poor repairs
✅ Just ONE met all the required legal safety and marking requirements

That's exactly why we don't sell part-worn tyres at York Tyre Sales.

We understand why a cheaper tyre can seem tempting, especially when money is tight. But with a used tyre, you may not know its history, how it's been driven, whether it's been damaged or how it's previously been repaired.
