Land Rover Defender 90 TD5
Cut out while customer was driving. Had to tow it home.
Non starter, after diagnostics showed no faults had to revert to old school. Changed fuel filter still no go. Checked all fuses and relays, no go. Checked fuel pressure and only 1 bar on a 4 bar system. Only the low pressure working on the 2 stage fuel pump.
Tank out, bird nest removed (poor Robin) new pump fitted, pump wiring plug sorted, refitted and pressure tested, 4 bar plus 😁 fuel system bled and started on the button. 👍

Range Rover Evoque
Customer had the blue screen of death on the rear view reversing camera. Diagnosed with camera internal failure. No surprise that Land Rover placed a camera so water can get in and destroy the camera.
Customer took it to an Indie who wanted over £400 for the camera, still cheaper than Land Rover.
Diagnosed, stripped, replaced camera with genuine for just over half the original quote.

Well look at this! Hayter Harrier 48 rear roller 5 speed variable mower. The gear box is a Sturmey Archer 5 speed bike hub 😱 Customer has contacted Hayter and they denied ever using a cycle hub! No wonder it’s discontinued. Managed to strip and repair. Hopefully it will give another 24 year’s service
