Your main diagnostic tool shouldn’t be tied up every time someone needs to do a quick scan.
That’s where the XTOOL A30X makes sense in a workshop.
For £100, it gives technicians a simple way to plug into a vehicle, connect through their phone and quickly:
- Run a full-system scan
- Read and clear fault codes
- Check live data
So while your main diagnostic platform is being used on a more involved job, another technician can still get answers without waiting for the tool to become free.
That means more diagnostic capacity across the workshop without immediately buying another full-size machine.
It won’t replace your main diagnostic platform, but for quick checks and initial assessments, it can be a very useful bit of kit to have to hand.
We tested the A30X properly on a 2021 Skoda Enyaq to see what it can actually do.
