Just finished welding up another cracked alloy wheel today 🔥
While prepping this one, I noticed it already had a neat weld repair from years ago — complete with a date stamp etched right into it. That repair is still holding strong after all this time.
It’s a great reminder that when alloy wheel repairs are done properly (good prep, right filler, clean technique, and proper post-weld treatment), they can genuinely last for years and keep the wheel safe and looking good.
Big respect to the welder who fixed this wheel back then and took the time to date-stamp their work. That kind of pride and professionalism doesn’t go unnoticed 👏
If you’ve got cracked or damaged alloys, don’t bin them straight away — get them done right and they’ll keep rolling for a long time.
