A vehicle we had to apply an adblu solution to as the part is on a 2 month back order but the countdown to no start was on 60 miles this method was applied to enable the vehicle to carry out its daily duty once the part has arrived the vehicle will be reprogrammed back to its original state as we keep all the original protocols

A job we had a few weeks ago the customer called us after being to a local tuning company they had done a forced regeneration on the car why I don’t know when the car should be capable of doing a passive one itself if not there’s a problem. Anyway the light came back on within 24 hours so a friend recommended us I spoke to the lady explained how the DPF works and what would be the most common issue and I explained the cost and the warranty we provide. The car was collected the next day and driven back to our workshop the first thing we noticed was how the car drove it was all or nothing so obviously had been remapped before but very badly secondly the mpg was atrocious 28mpg average and the fuel gauge moved faster than the Speedo. Once in the workshop we opened the bonnet to find that the fuel filter was 10 years old and the air filter was black as coal with a date for 2015 so a service and return to a stock file and a fuel system clean using the patented Terraclean machine restored this car back to original spec and returned to the customer with mpg over 60mpg
Had the tuning company taken the time to listen to the customer drive the car and look at the live data and obviously under the bonnet then the answer would have been there

Porsche Boxster S 3.4 for front discs and pads and rear pads replacement.

Due to the technicality of replacing these being 4 piston calipers the right tools and equipment are required. Here at THE DPF DOC we have all the equipment to carry out this work on VAG, BMW, Mercedes and more!

Just a brief video of a pet peeve of ours.

TEST NOT GUESS many garages replace parts based on fault codes alone. The diagnostic tool is used to guide you in a direction of where a fault lies.

This Audi A1 is a perfect example of why we shouldn’t replace parts based on fault codes. This vehicle has had the front end removed to allow access to remove the boost pipes and alternator to find the broken wire causing the IAT Sensor error of ‘circuit high’. The component was tested and resistance all in range. Showing -40°c we know it can’t be this low. Wire repaired with a section of new wire all soldered in and waterproofed.

You pay for our time skill and excellence in the job we carry out ensuring in the long run you save money without throwing it at new parts that don’t need replacing. Full health check on the car also showed this shouldn’t have been allowed to leave the garage it had a clutch replaced at, however, we rectified the small issues and ensured they are correct for the customer so their car is reliable and safe on the roads.

Audi SQ5 Intake Manifold and EGR Valve removal and maintenance clean.

Common issues on the 3.0TDI is the intake manifold and EGR Valves blocking with carbon deposits which soon lead to future issues.

This vehicle we had in had a strict deadline as the customer was due to go on holiday in his caravan.

Completed by the deadline and customer stated it drives beautifully again and feels like a brand new car.

Little Nissan Note in for a clutch replacement too

However, this one didn’t like to drive as it was so worn!

Collected from the customer first thing in Chesterfield, completed by 1pm with an LUK clutch kit and returned by 2pm!

Kia Cee’d in this morning for a replacement clutch.

Customer complained the car didn’t engage 1st gear properly and had started to slip under load.

Replacement LUK clutch which is genuine/OE quality.

All collected completed and returned to the customer without the gentleman having to source transport home. One happy chap 😄

Nissan X Trail Rear Brake Discs, Pads and Parking brake Shoes.

Customer complained of having no handbrake and brakes feeling compromised. The discs were scored and if placed on a record player would more than likely play a Stone Roses song.

New brake discs ordered along with the brake pads, handbrake shoes and fitting kit. The shoes had disintegrated to dust as they had seized on.

We checked the operation of the handbrake cables to make sure these weren’t sticking causing them to bind. Operation all ok and proceeded to refit the new parts. We adjusted from the back and worked to the in car adjuster and managed to get a perfect working handbrake and test drove to ensure no binding or grinding. Again all perfect.

Customer collected the car and later called to let us know how happy he was that his car now drives like it used to when he first bought it!
