An off-the-shelf loom that almost fits still has to be made to fit. That work doesn't disappear, it just moves to your bench.
A run that's 300mm short gets a join, and a join is a new failure point. A branch in the wrong place gets rerouted, and now it sits against something warm. Spare tails get taped back and tucked somewhere they were never designed to sit.
The real cost isn't the labour, it's that none of it is recorded. The loom on the machine no longer matches the drawing, and the next person to work on it has no way of knowing what changed or why.
At Tec-Stop, looms are built to your drawing, so the loom fits the machine first time and the drawing stays true for the life of it.
Made to fit works out cheaper than made to fit in.
