Contact [email protected] for more details It is the hill where drivers want to win and stand on top of the podium.

Shelsley Walsh is the premier speed hill climb venue in the UK with competition weekends and the opportunity to hire the venue for corporate bookings, photo or filming shoots or anything you need. Hill climbing started at Shelsley Walsh in 1905 when the Midland Automobile Club had to find an alternative venue to Sun Rising Hill near Stratford. Since then, and war years apart, the Club has run hill climbs at Shelsley Walsh ever since, making it the oldest surviving motor sport venue in the world. The hill continues to host the British Hill Climb Championship that sees cars hit 165mph in a thrilling weekend of speed, drama and incredible skill with the opportunity for spectators to get right up close to the action. Shelsley is also available to private hire, photo or film shoots and testing, just get in touch and we can talk about how we can help.

He was certainly determined to get his Porsche!

Bill Drysdale could never afford the sports car he fell in love with as a young man. So when he retired, he went to night school to learn welding, and began assembling it, bit by bit ...

One of the highlight cars at Shelsley Walsh in recent seasons has been the GWR Raptor V8 2 litre of Johnathen Varley that's got two Yamaha R1 5-valve cylinder heads on a common crank case.

To push out 385hp when it weighs a mere 380kgs is just what British Hill Climbing is all about so crank up the sound and hear it sing!

Sunny Summer Sundays at Shelsley Walsh in 2026 - just look at that scorched grass and a full paddock. Thanks to Matthew Evans for the capture; it's cool.

Stay tuned for our 2027 membership up and coming soon.

In case you missed it, here's the banner we had up in the paddock for the MAC 125 year event in September with the timeline of the Midland Automobile Club that was formed in January 1901 and runs Shelsley Walsh to this day.

What date or stat did you maybe not know?
