🍂 October is here, and with the darker nights and colder weather on the way, now is the perfect time to make sure your car is winter-ready.

✅ Check your MOT is valid
✅ Ensure your servicing is up to date
✅ Take care of any advisories noted on your last MOT

A little preparation now will help keep you safe and your journeys stress-free throughout the colder months. 🚗❄️

🍂 It’s that time of year again…

As the weather gets colder, mice and other rodents start looking for somewhere warm, dry and sheltered and unfortunately, your vehicle can make an ideal home!

We’ve already seen evidence of rodents getting into air filters, cabin filters and engine bays, using these areas for shelter and nesting.

And they don’t need much room to get in. A mouse can squeeze through a gap of around 6–7 mm (¼ inch), the diameter of a pencil!

Once inside, they can cause damage by:
Chewing electrical wiring
Damaging air and cabin filters
Shredding insulation for nesting material
Chewing plastic and rubber components

So if your vehicle is parked for long periods, especially during the colder months, it’s worth keeping an eye out for signs of rodent activity.

A tiny gap can be all it takes for a big problem to start!
