Milton Keynes Radio Control Car Club Milton Keynes Radio Control Car Club
A club that races on road RC cars in Milton Keynes

The aim of Milton Keynes Radio Controlled Car Club (MKRCCC) is to give people from Milton Keynes and surrounding areas somewhere to race a variety of on-road electric RC cars. We currently have around 50 active racers, young and old, with a full range of abilities from Milton Keynes and surrounding areas. We predominantly race electric touring cars, mini's and GT12 circuit cars although we also ca

ter for other classes such as LMP, World GTs and F1s when there is demand. We provide a well run club that finds a balance between providing close, competitive racing without taking it too seriously. We ensure that newcomers are made welcome, whatever their level of skill and experience, and are offered all the support they need by more experienced racers to develop and improve but most importantly to enjoy themselves. A number of our members have disabilities and the club will try to make any adjustments we can to enable everyone to race and to join in.

Before we get onto whose racing next week - a little moan......

You have all heard this before - there is an expectation that everyone does their bit with setting up and/or packing away, where physically able. If I'm brutally honest I don't care how few of you help set up because the longer it takes, the less running time everyone gets so it's in your own interests to get it done as quickly as possible.

I care more about how many people help pack away because we all want to get away and make the most of our Sunday. I don't try and guestimate how much time and effort each person has put in, however I do monitor how many people are left actually doing something useful at the end of the meeting. Today (30th Aug) we had 25 racers, by the time the carpets were rolled up there were just 5 people doing something helpful - that is unacceptable. Moan over for now.

So having annoyed 80% of our racers, whose taking part in round 4 of the Winter series on 6th September? As always comment below with name(s) and class(es) and a like by the ever cheerful Ian means entry acknowledged.

Awesome job by Brendan B Cobb, John Cobb, Rob B, Danny E, Harrison Dawkins and Lewis Cox promoting RC, MKRCCC and Micro MK clubs at Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council's Try Out event.

Hundreds of small and not so small kids giving RC ago. Yes its not a class we run but the important thing is they are giving loads of people a taster of RC which boads well for the future

Big News You Can Use… for autumn 2026

This week sees the last round of the sports touring car sprint championship, we were hoping that this championship would have been well supported as many races do tend to like the faster classes. However, it has not seen the uptake we would’ve hoped.

It would be really good if between now and November we could all have a think about what sprint championship we would like to run next year, in the next few weeks we will put up a pole on the page so we can all have our say.

Coming up very soon is the start of the winter championships, this championship will run over eight rounds and will finish in mid October, unfortunately between now and the end of the year there are several dates which are not available for us to race and will interrupt the championship slightly. We will be running all the usual standard classes that we normally run. Novice, two wheel drive, Tamiya touring, MTC, and GT 12. Everybody get yourself prepared for some hot action on the track.

Attached is an image showing the calendar up until the end of the year and you will see that coming up very quickly is our final 2026 sprint championship offering… Tamiya trucks, we are hoping for another fantastic sprint championship to run us into the end of the year and some fun race days.
