This 1931 AJS two seater Saloon car remains up for sale. We have now received details of the extensive work carried out by the current owner:-
1) Petrol tank repair
2) Radiator repaired and pressure tested.
3) New Battery fitted
4) New SU fuel pump fitted
5) New Ignition coil, Distributor cap, contact breaker points, Condenser, and HT leads fitted
6) Engine oil sump removed and cleaned, refitted with new gasket and refilled with Castrol oil
7) Rectified leak from oil pump.
8) New water hoses fitted to engine and Radiator refilled with antifreeze
9) Dynamo converted from 3 brush to 2 brush and new Electronic voltage regulator fitted
10) New speedometer and cable fitted
11) 5 new Tyres and inner tubes fitted
12) New clutch and brake pedal rubbers fitted

Day 2 of the AJS rally saw us navigate more Yorkshire & Cumbrian lanes on route to Acorn Bank, Temple Sowerby and on our return to the Fat Lamb. An excellent weekend was had by all.

Day 1 of AJS Car Club Rally saw us drive 40km along winding country lanes from , The Fat Lamb, to Helwith Bridge Inn, then onto Wensleydale Creamery and back to the Fat Lamb via Mallerstang. An excellent day all round, despite a few unexpected hill starts

It's been a bit quiet on the AJS 9 Car Club page of late, most of our activity has been posted on our AJS Car Club Members Group, which as the name suggests is only open to paid up members of the AJS Car Club. However our 2026 rally based around The Fat Lamb in Ravenstonedale will be soon be upon us so expect a few more posts then.

The Fat Lamb Country Inn is situated between the market towns of Sedbergh and Kirkby Stephen just south of the picturesque village of Ravenstonedale. We offer high quality bed and breakfast accommodation, exceptionally good food and a warm friendly welcome.

UPDATE - Pleased to report, that as of February 2026, this is another AJS with a new owner.
Another AJS is up for sale. 1929 AJS Trials Car. VSCC eligible with a buff form. The car is fitted with a 4 speed gearbox, but there is a spare 3 speed gear box and a longer prop shaft. 6 Blockley tyres. Stainless steel exhaust pipes. New radiator & electric fan. Spent the morning at La Croissile-sur-Briance annual car show. Couldn't find an AJS, but came across a Willy's Jeep (tenuous I know)!
