We have a job vacancy opening in the new year for a MOT Tester/Mechanic.

The hours are as follows -Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm and working every other Saturday 9.30-5.30pm but a chosen day off in the week.
Overtime available

Wages are dependent on experience and can be discussed

Job description
- to carry out an Mot in accordance with the mot testers standards
- carry out safety vehicle inspections
- keeping the mot bay tidy and daily checks on tools and equipment
- be able to work as a team as well as independently
- be able to confidently communicate with Mot manager, Staff and customers
- must be reliable and approachable
- must be able to use initiative
- be able to work in a busy environment

So today is Four Ashes MOT Centre’s 1 year anniversary. I can’t believe we have been open a year, we have survived a year of blood sweat and tears, covid-19, and the 6mth mot extension.
We can’t thank everyone enough who has supported us, given amazing feedback, recommendations and all of our customers old and new.
It’s been hard work worth but so worth it.
a big Thankyou to everyone from Jim and sarah. And a special Thankyou to our lovely staff matty, Neil and Liam.

New rules UPDATE - please share

Due to the unfolding COVID-19 situation, cars, vans and motorcycles due their MOT from 30th March 2020 will have their MOT extended by 6 months.

This will continue until confirmed otherwise.

This will allow vehicle owners to continue to be able to get to work where this can absolutely not be done from home or to do essential shopping.

Vehicles must be kept in roadworthy condition and drivers can be prosecuted if they drive an unsafe vehicle. The government has extended the requirement for certain businesses to close but GARAGES are allowed to stay open. This is to make sure essential vehicle maintenance and repairs to keep vehicles, goods and key workers moving and safe can continue.

If your vehicle is due before the 30th March or has already expired you will need an mot before the 30th.
