Customer today in for discs & pads & I found that on the N/S/F the screws retaining the disc had been sheered off previously! Picture 1 shows the bolts snapped clean off so I’ve ground flat to centre punch the dead centre accurately & drilled out, using the thread pitch & size & taking away the thread pitch from the size gives you the drill size needed to drill out & re tap the threads. Do it right first time it’s the attention to detail that counts.

Yet another broken spring to replace.

Had a customer in for service today complaining of rattling noise from the front, easy enough to find this time & was the brake back plates on the front had corroded around the fixture & causing it to have come loose.
I replaced the back plates with new bolts & greased to stop any seizing in the future also cleaned the mating surfaces & cleaned off the hub where the discs sit.
