🚨 WET BELT WARNING – THIS IS WHY REPLACEMENT IS SO IMPORTANT! 🚨

This week at D&W Autos, we had a Citroën DS3 come into the workshop with an oil pressure fault.

After investigating, we discovered the wet timing belt was overdue for replacement and had started to deteriorate and fray. 😬

⚠️ The result? The oil pick-up was almost completely blocked with debris from the deteriorating belt!

Wet belts run inside the engine and are lubricated by engine oil. Over time, they can deteriorate, and fragments of the belt can break away, contaminating the oil system and restricting oil flow.

❌ Low oil pressure

❌ Oil starvation

❌ Serious internal engine damage

❌ Potential complete engine failure

Thankfully, the issue was identified before any further damage was confirmed.

🔧 We’re replacing the belt using a genuine PSA timing belt kit, along with addressing the contamination in the oil system.

DON’T WAIT FOR THE WARNING LIGHT! 🚨

If your vehicle is fitted with a wet belt, it’s essential to have it replaced at the correct manufacturer interval. Prevention is far cheaper than a major engine repair!
