Why does no one ever talk about this reliable engine?

Compared to its problem-riddled 1.3K younger sister, the 1.6L cambelt driven engine rarely gives us warranty claims as a van dealer.

There’s no expensive wet belt to worry about. It’s an old school cambelt costing around £300-400 to replace.

No injector, turbo, timing chain issues.

Most of the 1.6L engines go into the long wheel base editions aswell as these engines have more BHP and easily support the bigger and heavier long wheel vehicles.

They also always come with a 6 speed gearbox, aircon, rear parking sensors and cruise control.

We recently bought a batch of these Citroen Dispatch vans from a local company and they have been selling like hot cakes.

They have been so popular because of the mileage, ranging from 15-30k, All 1 owner, all full service history, all 2 keys, and in totally original bodywork condition with no signs of paintwork. The word genuine is an understatement with these vans.

They’ve come from a local commercial insurance company who have used them as courtesy vehicles.

They aren’t the cheapest vans on the net, but if you want quality with an impeccable provenance, you won’t find any better.

So do we actually know what price to sell a vehicle for?

There’s numbers of factors that help us to decide what price to sell a van for.

The current van market is very price sensitive. If you advertise it for a few thousand more than it’s worth it’ll sit there for months on end.

If you advertise it very sensibly then it will sell very quickly.
