Hi all, just a quick reminder. I’m of on Holliday from Saturday morning the 29th of August and will return to work Monday morning 7th of September. Can every body please make sure there accounts are up to date as this will impact further lessons and tests from taking place. I will answer any messages/text/calls when I return to work.

Early start to the day with an 8am kick off at Workington test centre, an am pleased to say a massive well done to libby Conley. A very well deserved first time pass and a even happier goodbye to those 23yr old “ L” plates Iv never been as happy to see some one get a licence as this lady. Very well deserved 1 down 4 in trading to go. Drive safe Libby.

First time pass, first one on my green, this is the lad that helped me get that green and to top it off welcome to the 4% club a zero fault pass. Take a bow. Are you familiar with the new rules for car driving test bookings? 🤔

📅 Test changes are now limited to 2 per booking.

🔄️ Only learners can book, change or cancel their own test.

📍 Test moves are limited to one of the 3 nearest centres.

By introducing these new rules, we’re aiming to reduce the reselling of tests, create a level playing field for all learner drivers and give them more control over their learning to drive journey. 💪

Spring may mean warmer temperatures, but it can bring rainy spells too. ☔

When roads are wet, stopping distances will be at least double those required for stopping on dry roads, so it’s important you know how to drive in these conditions.

Next time you're driving in wet weather, remember to:

🚗 keep well back from the vehicle in front
⚠️ if the steering becomes unresponsive, ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually
🛢️ watch out for any spilt diesel as this will make surfaces very slippery
🚲 take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders

Congratulations on passing your driving test. But if you want to keep driving you need to keep within the speed limits for the road.

New drivers can lose their licence if they get 6 or more points in the first 2 years.

🚨 Important changes to driving test booking rules are coming.

From 31 March 2026, learner drivers and approved driving instructors (ADIs) will only be able to make 2 changes to a driving test booking.

A change includes:
- changing the date or time
- changing the test centre
- swapping a test between 2 learners

This is part of the outcome of our consultation to improve the way driving tests are booked.
