Peter Smythe Transport Training is one of the leading Transport Training Companies in Nottinghamshire. Established in the 1970’s, we provide driver training for HGV/PCV licences along with a range of additional training courses and we are a private DVSA Accredited Test Centre.
We are seeking a Salesperson to join our hard-working team where no two days are the same.
This is a Full-Time position within an expanding Company, where you will be based at our busy Training Centre in Sutton in Ashfield. Training will be provided although experience in sales is required.
Key Duties/Responsibilities
• Responding to all customer enquiries via telephone, email, and face to face
• Become part of our Sales Team
• Book training courses / medical appointments
• Produce and maintain customer files
• Reception duties
• Taking care of administration tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
• Perform other duties as assigned
A Few Things about You
• Excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and committed
• Sales and customer services experience is a must
• Self-motivated / willing to learn and can handle a wide range of tasks and get things done right the first time
• Strong attention to detail
• Customer focused
• Strong IT skills
• Ability to work within a small team
• Good Time Keeping
Hours of work are Monday to Friday
Week 1 – 07:30 until 16:30
Week 2 – 08:30 until 17:30
Working one Saturday morning per month until 12:00. In return you will receive one Friday afternoon a month off.
We offer a salary of £20,000 - £22,000 per annum. Additional to this we offer company pension, Westfield Health Care, Company sick pay scheme, death in service cover and increased holiday allowance with length of service.

A polite notice to all our current and potential customers

The Government have announced that you will be able to go straight from Car to Class 1
( C+E )

However they have not released any dates as of yet for this to happen, we only know as much as you do.

Please be patient and wait for the Government to confirm this before calling/emailing us and asking for dates and prices as we can’t tell you what we don’t know.

We are still taking bookings for Starter Packs, Medicals, CPC, ADR, Categories C1, C, C+E, D1 and D
