The cheque is officially handed over!
Today, members of the Dave Rees Memorial Charity Committee had the pleasure of presenting the £50,059.28 cheque to Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
It was a really special moment to see the final total on the big cheque and hand over the money to a charity that does so much for people and families across Wigan and Leigh.
Wigan & Leigh Hospice provides specialist care and support to people living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as supporting their families at what can be an incredibly difficult time. Their work extends far beyond end-of-life care, helping people to live as well as possible and providing vital support within our local community.
Being able to raise this money in Dave's memory makes the achievement even more meaningful to everyone at Vanliners. Dave was the heart of Vanliners. He founded the business and made it what it is today, shaping the company, its people and the values that remain at the centre of it. We’re incredibly proud that the money raised in his memory will help support the work of Wigan & Leigh Hospice.
A huge thank you once again to everyone who helped make the Dave Rees Memorial Ball possible, particularly the Charity Committee for all their hard work, as well as everyone who donated, attended, sponsored and supported the evening.
