How we restored this Subarus headlight from faded, cracked and yellow to crystal clear and protected
We start by taping off the paint around it
Then we want to wet sand it down starting with P1200 followed by P2500. This is suitable for headlights that are faded but not extremely faded. In some circumstances I recommend using P1000 or even P800 grit sandpaper
Then we want to do 2 separate round of cutting the headlights with a strong compound and cut pad
Follow that with a medium to fine polish pad and a polish.
After that, your headlights will look perfectly clear however they’ll soon become faded again.
Therefore we protected this headlight with a 4 year ceramic coating which will keep it water repellant and UV resistant
