Ladycross Plantation Welcome to our family-owned park set in 95 acres of mature woodland, only 5 miles from Whitby. Pitches are set in small secluded openings amongst the trees.

Ladycross offers carefully maintained spacious pitches with over two miles of woodland walks that lead to a secluded pond and 4 acres of open field to enjoy. Ladycross Plantation is set in 30 acres of mature woodland and offers peace and tranquility. Two new amenity blocks with underfloor heating and hygenic no touch infrared showers, shop selling local provisions and gas, laundry facilities.

The fantastic wardens have been hard at work this week, keeping on top of all those odd jobs which help make Ladycross the special place we know our guests love. From mowing the grass to maintaining our amenity blocks, there's always something needing their attention.

We've welcomed tourers throughout the week, with several more due to arrive today to enjoy a weekend in the North York Moors and exploring the Yorkshire coast.

The weather's looking a bit mixed, but it wouldn't be a summer holiday without the occasional shower, would it?! 🌧

Get ready to travel back to the swinging sixties for a full weekend of classic sounds, amazing tribute acts, and good vibes right by the sea.

👣 Set in the North York Moors National Park and close to the Yorkshire coast and the Cleveland Way, there are loads of options for walking right on our doorstep. And this year there are even more routes to choose from as Mulgrave Estate have created 3 new way-marked routes.

The Mulgrave Way, Foss Mill Crossing and Guard House Way guide you through some of the most beautiful and varied landscapes across the estate. The new routes form a grid between the Esk Valley Way and the National Coastal Path.

If you're a really keen walker it would be possible to walk a circular route along the Mulgrave Way to Sandsend (around 11 miles), before heading to Whitby and picking up the Esk Valley Walk and heading back to Egton following the River Esk (another 14 miles of so).

We've recently completed two new plots - ready for brand new holiday lodges. Each of our plots is carefully positioned, to maximise privacy and ensure plenty of space for our guests to enjoy.

This is one of the reasons Ladycross feels so quiet and peaceful. We prioritise trees, grass and space to breathe, creating the relaxing atmosphere our guests appreciate.

Ladycross is a haven for wildlife. As we've developed areas of the park over the years, we've always worked hard to ensure we've done everything we can to protect, and often enhance, the natural environment at Ladycross.

95 acres of mature woodland provides plenty of space for squirrels, birds (including owls) and plenty of other species who share this space with us.

Our 2 miles of nature trails make accessing the woodland easy - and you can't get lost! Look out for the pond on your way around. It's another wildlife hot-spot, but the water is deep.

Our freedom field also ensures there's plenty of space for children to play, and a place for well-behaved dogs and their humans to have a good run about.

⛅ Ok, we know the weather's been a bit weird of late. Honestly, there's very little we can do about it - other than encourage the wearing of appropriate clothing. If you're a bit chilly, and find yourself in Whitby on a rainy Saturday, here are some great options:

👉🏼 Visit Whitby Museum and check out the Hand of Glory as well as loads of other amazing artifacts. Tickets are valid for 12 months, so this is a great value option for regular visitors to Whitby.
🏊 Go swimming - a classic family-friendly activity. Whitby has a 25m and shallow learner pool (both heated) with regular sessions to suit all abilities.
🍕 Enjoy some amazing food - Whitby's got so many fantastic restaurants, cafes and take-aways these days, there's something for everyone!
🎬 Popcorn at the ready - Whitby Pavilion Cinema is currently showing Michael (the bio-pic of Michael Jackson) and The Devil Wears Prada 2 from 24th-28th May
🐟 Embrace the sea air and head out on either the Yellow Boats for a cruise up and down the coast, or book a sea fishing trip with Steve on Cee King, or Ken on Libby - rods and reels provided!

🌳 Squirreled away amongst the trees, Ladycross is easy to miss. When it comes to touring caravan parks, we're the Yorkshire coast's best kept secret!

This photo shows our beautifully wooded park, and the sea in the distance. Ladycross is just 5 miles from Whitby. But if you're looking to avoid the crowds, there are plenty of other beaches nearby including Sandsend which is fantastic for families, Runswick Bay and Robin Hood's Bay - a favourite amongst fossil-hunters.
