We’ve all been there… you’re waiting at a junction, there’s a car behind you, and suddenly you feel like you need to hurry up! 😬

But here’s the thing…

🚗 The driver behind you isn’t taking your driving test.

⏰ You don’t need to rush just because someone else is impatient.

👀 Take your time, make your observations and only go when it’s safe.

💛 Remember: A safe decision is always better than a rushed one!

And if someone beeps at you? Let them beep! You’re responsible for YOUR driving, not their impatience. 🐾

🚗💛 DRIVING TIP OF THE DAY! 💛🚗

Just because you have the right of way, doesn’t mean it’s safe to go! 👀

One of the biggest lessons you can learn as a driver is that you can’t control what everyone else does on the road!

🚗 Someone might pull out unexpectedly.

🚴 A cyclist might appear from nowhere.

🚶 A pedestrian might step into the road without looking.

🚦 Another driver might completely ignore a red light!

Being a good driver isn’t just about following the rules — it’s about anticipating what could happen next!

💡 Remember: A safe driver doesn’t just react to hazards, they spot them before they become dangerous!

Road markings aren’t just there to make the roads look pretty! 👀 They give us important information to help keep everyone safe.

Whether you’re learning to drive, preparing for your test or have been driving for years, knowing what these markings mean is essential! 🚦

🟡 Double Yellow Lines – Know where you can and can’t wait or park!

⚪ Double White Lines – Understand when crossing them is permitted.

⚠️ Hazard Warning Lines – Look ahead! There could be a hazard approaching.

🟨 Yellow Box Junctions – Don’t enter unless your exit is clear (with a specific exception for turning right!).

➡️ Lane Direction Arrows – Get into the correct lane nice and early!

🚌 Bus Lanes – Always check the signs for operating times and restrictions!

💡 LOKI’S TOP TIP: Don’t just memorise road markings for your theory test. Understanding them and responding correctly will make you a safer, more confident driver for life!

A massive congratulations to Jo Sherwood, who passed her driving test FIRST TIME at Avonmouth Test Centre this morning with just 4 minor faults! 🥳👏

Jo was taught by Martin… well, sort of! 😂💛

With Martin still out of action thanks to his Achilles injury, Andy stepped in to give Jo her final 3 lessons before the big day! 🚗💨

A proper Loki Drivers team effort, but most importantly, all the hard work and determination came from Jo herself! 💪

We’re all absolutely thrilled for you, Jo! You’ve smashed it, and we hope you enjoy every minute of your newfound freedom on the roads! 🐾💛🖤

🚗💛 REVERSING EXERCISES – LET’S BREAK THEM DOWN! 🖤🐾

One of the biggest worries for learner drivers is… THE MANOEUVRES! 😱

But here’s some good news – you only have to complete ONE reversing exercise during your practical driving test! 🙌

So, what could the examiner ask you to do? 👀

🅰️ Parallel Park – Reverse into a space behind a parked vehicle.

🅱️ Bay Parking – Either drive into a bay and reverse out, OR reverse into a bay and drive out.

🅲 Pull Up on the Right – Pull up safely on the right-hand side of the road, reverse approximately two car lengths, then rejoin traffic safely.

🚨 DON’T FORGET! You may also be asked to perform an emergency stop!

💡 LOKI’S TOP TIP: 🐶

It’s not about completing the manoeuvre at lightning speed or getting it perfect first time!

It’s about CONTROL, OBSERVATION and SAFETY! 👀

Take your time, keep checking your surroundings and remember – you can make adjustments if needed! 💪

🐾 REMEMBER: The examiner isn’t looking for a perfect parker. They’re looking for a safe driver!

🎉🚗 HOORAY FOR MADI!! 🚗🎉

A HUGE congratulations to Madi, who passed her driving test FIRST TIME yesterday at Avonmouth Test Centre! 🥳👏

Now this one is extra special, and we’re honestly SO proud of her! 💛🖤

As many of you know, Martin is still out of action and unable to drive following his injury, meaning Madi hasn’t been able to have a driving lesson with him for nearly a MONTH! 😱

But did she let that stop her? ABSOLUTELY NOT! 💪

Instead, Madi kept up the hard work, practising with her lovely mum, while Martin remained at the end of the phone offering advice, reassurance and plenty of last-minute tips! 📱🚗

And to top it all off, Madi went and smashed her test in her OWN car! 🙌

This really is a testament to Madi’s determination, hard work and commitment. She could have easily lost confidence with such a big gap between lessons, but instead she put in the effort and got the result she deserved! 🥹💛

A massive shoutout to Mum too, for stepping in and helping Madi get across that finish line! 👏

Martin might not have been able to sit beside you for those final few weeks, Madi, but we’re sure he was cheering you on just as loudly from the sidelines! 😂

Well done, Madi! Enjoy every second of your new-found freedom. You’ve absolutely earned it! 🚗💨
