Do you check your oil levels regularly?

Ideally you should check your oil levels every week or after long journeys, the oil feeds a lot of parts on your vehicle and if it’s running low or is contaminated can cause other issues which can be costly.

We can check your levels or if it’s been over a year since your oil has been changed or you have clocked up 3,000 miles or more it is time for an oil and oil filter change. Or even a full service?

Do Your brakes need to be checked?

The brakes on your vehicle work hard so if you are doing lots of longer journeys and clocked between 15,000 and 25,000 miles since your last had you pads and discs changed, they probably need a check over.

Other signs are squealing or grinding noises, a warning light pops up on the dash board or you have noticed some changes when braking. Vibrations? Longer stopping distance? The vehicle pulls to one side?

What is the legal minimum tyre tread depth?

This is such an important question as tyre safety is central to your car being roadworthy.

The legal tyre depth is 1.6mm but when it gets to 3mm it is advisable to replace your tyres, if you pop into the garage, we can do a check (only takes a couple of minutes) and is completely free of charge.
