Avon Classic Cars Established in 1989 as a family run business specialising in the restoration, service and repair of classic vehicles.

After many years in the motor vehicle and vehicle construction trades, Kevin Buckley formed Avon Classic Cars to cater for the restoration and repair of classic cars. By forming his own business this meant he could turn out work to his very own high standard, and not be governed by bosses wanting to make profit at the expense of quality. The business soon grew as did

Avon Classic's reputation for quality and workmanship. Taking over an adjacent work shop meant he could also pursue his love of custom painting which ran nicely alongside the restoration work, until eventually the two had to separate, hence Avon Custom came to be. More recently Avon Classic Cars has moved to a more modern premises in Weston-Super-Mare, and has installed a state of the art paint shop. Avon Custom is now headed up by Kevin’s son Alex, leaving Kevin to concentrate on the classics. Kevin, with over 40 Years’ experience in the motor trade, and Alex, with 17, can between them cater for most things.

JOB VACANCY – we are looking for a skilled welder/bodyworker, some mechanical knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.

Competitive rates of pay depending on skills and experience.

Flexible hours. Full and part-time, PAYE or self-employed.

This position would suit a meticulous candidate who is focused and takes pride in producing a consistently high standard of work.

Projects range from minor cosmetic work to full bare shell restorations.

We are looking for an applicant who:
* Can consistently meet the high standards of welding and bodywork.
* Can to work and communicate well as part of a small and dynamic team.
* Can work without supervision, is reliable and consistent.
* Has experience of professional, high level vehicle restoration.
