Very busy and exciting times here at P & B Commercials , we are growing all the time and have recently began to extend the workshop & yard space to accommodate our expansion

We have also recently aquired our brand new state of the art Totalkare roller brake test equipment, another set of Totalkare mobile lifts in addition to our current set of lifts to serve & provide the best possible service we can for our ever growing & varied customer base.

We have also added to our support vehicle fleet including more fully equipped service vans, Tractor units for hire & trailer collections and some general customer support vehicles.

 R&M and warranty packages are only worth the money if your local main dealer delivers great service, proper back-up and solid communication.
But let’s be honest… a LOT of hauliers are saying the complete opposite.

Slow to book trucks in.
Slow to diagnose faults.
And in too many cases, trucks coming out of the workshop with the same issue they went in with.

A Scania R&M package for 3 years is now over £17k – and for what?

Meanwhile, small independent workshops often have:
• The same diagnostics as main dealers
• Fully trained mechanics
• Far better communication
• And a genuine desire to squeeze in extra work rather than turn it away
• At a 1/3 of the cost

I honestly believe many hauliers will start moving away from main dealers for PMIs and smaller jobs. It’s just not cost-effective anymore.
I even saw a recent quote from a main dealer charging £6,000 just to fit light bars to a truck… complete madness. Total rip-off.

45 hours per week ( Mon - Fri )
Overtime available
Performance bonus
Family run business
Salary to be discussed with candidate depending on experience & skill set
Varied work on all makes,types & sizes of commercial vehicles & trailers
Wigan/Bolton/Manchester area
Our workshop is based in the Westhoughton/Wigan area.
Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualififcations
Minimum 5 years experience.
Class 1 or 2 driving licence preferred but not essential.
28 days holiday inc bank holidays

Great Effort from the P & B Commercials team this Month carrying out this operators request.

We was tasked with completing pre winter inspections,brake tests & repairs on our customers site in North Wales on this entire fleet of specialist Gritter vehicles.

We worked with one of our Third party workshops in the area to carry out the roller brake tests and Inspected the vehicles on site as requested, repairing any defects we found along the way.
Our Technicians stayed in local accomidation for the week to ensure all the vehicles was completed in the time period requested.
