🚙 Jeep Grand Cherokee – From Weird Noise to OEM Precision

A customer came to us with a strange rear noise.

Not a loud bang.
Not constant.
Just a weird humming / grinding sound that was getting worse over time.

At first, it sounded like tyre noise.
But something didn’t feel right.

🔍 Step 1 – Proper Diagnosis

We lifted the vehicle and carried out:

✔️ Wheel play check
✔️ Road test
✔️ Bearing rotation test
✔️ ABS sensor inspection
✔️ Backing plate inspection

Result?

The rear wheel bearing was failing, and the backing plate was heavily corroded.

Left like that, it could have:
• Caused wheel wobble
• Triggered ABS faults
• Damaged brake components
• Become a serious safety issue

⚙️ Full Timing Chain Replacement – DONE PROPERLY

Another N47 saved before catastrophic engine failure.
