Avilec Ltd offers an ECU repair/overhaul service to the Motor Trade and carries out subcontract repairs for a number of other ECU repair companies in the UK and overseas. This site primarily caters for the Motor Trade and competent own vehicle repairers. We generally repair/overhaul ECU’s although on occasions where this is not possible we may be able to supply exchange ECU’s coded the same as the

original. The repair service covers Engine ECU’s, ABS Controllers and some Body Control and Integrated Air mass ECU’s. We have a well equipped workshop in Cowes on the Isle of Wight and have been established for 14 years and previously as Car Electronic Services since the mid 1990’s. Avilec believe that the repair of vehicle ECU’s is more environmentally friendly and cheaper than the alternatives such as purchase of a new ECU or in the worst case scrapping of a vehicle that is then replaced by a new vehicle which may produce less emissions whilst running but has created a lot of CO2 during manufacture. We believe that keeping older vehicles on the road running at peak efficiency saves the owner costs and is more environmentally viable. Avilec also specialise in Classic car ECU’s going right back to the D-Jetronics and Ignition Modules used on vehicles in the late sixties and early seventies. Many of these vehicles now have considerable value and parts can be hard to come by also replacment ECU’s may be impossible to obtain so repair is the only option.

Criminal Damage - We have had a couple of Honda ECU's in recently for repair after the catalytic converters have been stolen, during the theft the wires have been cut to the Lambda Sensors causing a short which has damaged the Heater Drive Circuit in the ECU's. Fortunately the damage to the ECU's was repairable.
The vehicles were CRV and Jazz both from customers in London.

RANGE ROVER CLASSIC/P38 EAS ECU (Air Suspension System)

We are pleased to announce that due to popular demand we are now offering a full overhaul and factory reset service on the Range Rover Classic and Range Rover P38 Air Suspension ECU's.
This involves repair of any faults and a reset of the ECU to factory default ride heights. This will also clear any phantom fault codes which cannot be cleared using EAS Kicker or Autologic. A full Live Data and Settings printout is supplied with every ECU repaired.
The Classic EAS ECU's are now very hard to find second hand and are usually faulty when purchased.
The cost for this service is £333.00 plus delivery and VAT and they carry a two year warranty. (Discounts may be available to Landrover Specialist workshops)

Vauxhall Combo/Corsa C/D 1.3 CDTI Magneti Marelli ECU

These ECU's have a high failure rate due to water ingress. They are very poorly positioned on the Vauxhalls as can be seen by the amount of corrosion on the cover of the ECU in the image.
Symptoms of failure usually start as a missfire progressing to nonstart and no comms. Despite appearances they are usually repairable.
Also used on the Fiat 500, and Suzuki Swift 1.3L Diesels although they are better positioned and failures are rare.
Our price £205 + delivery and VAT with a two year warranty.
