Range Rover is preparing to expand its line-up with a fifth model, the forthcoming Range Rover GT could prove to be one of the brand's most significant departures in decades.

The GT reimagines the traditional grand tourer through a distinctly Range Rover lens. Rather than focusing solely on high-speed continent crossing, it promises to combine long-distance refinement with the off-road capability and commanding driving position that have long defined the marque.

The emphasis is on creating a calmer, less visually cluttered environment. Traditional elements have been pared back in favour of clean horizontal lines and discreetly integrated technology. A new single-screen infotainment layout is paired with a digital driver display, while a concealed full-width air vent reinforces the dashboard's uncluttered appearance.

Space remains a priority despite the GT's sporting proportions. Range Rover says the newcomer will offer class-leading second-row legroom, underlining its ambition to be as comfortable for passengers as it is engaging for the driver.

Beneath the bodywork, the GT will become the first all-electric Range Rover to use JLR's new Electrified Modular Architecture (EMA). It will launch initially as a battery electric vehicle, with hybrid variants planned later in its lifecycle. Production will take place at Halewood in Merseyside, where electric, hybrid and combustion-powered vehicles will be built on the same production
