5 hour round trip to Pingelly to sort out the A/C on this tidy Western Star that was struggling to cool on 35C+ days.
We diagnosed the evaporator & heater cores to be partially blocked. Both cores were completely removed and cleaned out as well as the a/c box they sit inside.
We changed out the TX valve which had to be ground off (pretty standard for these) and also the compressor as it was still original and done nearly 500,000km and the receiver drier, all genuine parts used.

Kubota engine change out on this Icepack.
The engine would stall once the compressor and fans cut in. We found the manual idle up lever wouldn’t work due to be broken internally so a new motor was sourced and replaced. Repaired & tidy’d up some wiring while everything was apart.

⚡️Minebar taillights & work lights, reverse alarm wired through beacon switch.
All terminations done inside the vehicle for longevity
⚡️GME XRS 330C UHF radio with RJ45 pass through switch insert
⚡️Teralume Industries Spotlights & work lights wired up, spotties to be fitted with Bullbar
⚡️Fridge plugs flush mounted to rear toolbox
⚡️USB & power sockets inside rear toolbox
⚡️Marine spec tinned copper wire throughout

A brand new 79 dual cab we did last month
⚡️Spotlights wired up
⚡️Second battery fitted, we weren’t happy with the plastic hold down clamp supplied with the tray so we modded a factory Toyota one for a more secure install
⚡️Redarc 25a DCDC charger with solar input under bonnet, emergency jump start button on dash
⚡️Power feed ran to rear toolbox for fridge for now, but to power up the future canopy to be fitted later on
⚡️weatherproof relays & fuses
⚡️All interior wiring wrapped in sound deadening cloth tape, all exterior wiring covered with split tubing then wrapped with high temp harness tape, only tinned copper cable used. In other words this will last forever.

Haven’t been very active on the socials due to the heavy workload but here’s a few jobs we’ve completed.
-Machined up a smaller alternator pulley for an old Kubota tractor that was struggling to charge at idle, replaced the tired battery and tidied up some cables.
-Stocklock tri speed lockup kit install on an early 200 series.
-Quick wiring tidy up on another 200 series
-Wiring repairs on a 1930’s Ford Deluxe.

Had the pleasure of fitting out Daz’s brand new 200 Series, he assured us he will never be fitting another battery under the bonnet so we utilised that space for our heavy duty weatherproof circuit breakers. We fabricated a bracket which picked up factory threads so no holes were drilled!
We integrated all the aftermarket accessories into 1x custom loom which was wrapped in heat resistant tape in the engine bay / exterior of the vehicle and noise dampening tape for the interior, and as always everything in tinned copper cable.
